Dec 16, 2011Just replaced both my front axles a few days ago. What a pain, you may want to try soaking the bolts in some penetrating oil before or get a hammer and/or cheater bar. The nut for the axles is a 36mm. As stated make sure you loosen it before jacking the vehicle and removing the wheel. There are three 13mm twelve point bolts that hold the hub on.

May 18, 2007Unfortunately for me, I had to remove the rear axles to do those - my caliper bracket was in the way. For future reference, I used NAPA/Balkamp part number 641-1268 - 2 1/8 long, 7/16-20 thread . My front hubs are 68 Camaro drum, my rear axles are 67-69 Camaro (?) 8.2 10 bolt. TT CL205's and 4 wheel discs.

I have one of those old Troy-Bilt Tillers, s/n starts with HH60. One tire has gone so absolutely flat that I need to get it resealed.
